IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Hugh ffrayne of the parish of St Paule Shadwell in the Countie of Middx. Mariner being of sound mind and memory praise bee to God and now bound forth on a voyage to sea Doe make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and forme followinge that is to say that ffirst and principally I committ my soule to God my maker and creator and my body also to his protection and keeping hopeing and trusting through his mercyand merritts of Jesus Christ my Blessed Lorde Saviour to have free pardon of my sinns and to bee received into life everlasting And as to such worldly goods and estate as it hath pleased God or shall please himto bestow upon mee I give and dispose of the same as followeth. Imprimis my will and mind is that all such summe and summes of money and other dues or Demands which I now doe or hereafter shall truely owe unto Joseph Ashton of London Wharfinger by bill bond or otherwise shall bee first paid and satisfied out of my estate. Item I give and bequeath unto Ruth Ashton daughter of the said Joseph Ashton the summe of five pounds of lawful money of England. All the rest and residue of my estate in what kind or quantity and whatsoecer the same shall shall bee found after my decease I give and bequeath equally unto my sisters namely Eleanor the wife of William Pauling and Margaret ffrayne of Swymbridge in the countie of Devon. And I doe hereby nominate and appoint the said Joseph Ashton to be sole executor of this my last Will and Testament desiring him to bee faithful and inst. in the due execution thereof according to the tenor and true meaning of the same. And I doe by these presente revoke and make void all former wills and bequests by mee made and these only shall remain and bee as my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale. Dated the seaventh Day of June one thousand six hundred eighty three And in the five and thirtieth year of the reign of our Soveraigne Lord King Charles the second over England                                            Hugh ffrayne
