To the Editor of The Times

Sir, - This year marks the centenary of a series of cricket matches played between 11 brothers Colman, sons of Robert Colman, of Rockland St. Andrew, and the Gentlemen of Norfolk, the Norwich Club, and other teams on the Norfolk ground at Norwich and at Letheringsett Hall. The 11 brothers continued to play as a complete team during 1846, the last member of the team, Henry Colman, dying in 1895. His obituary notice appeared in Cricket of March 28, 1895, together with extracts from the Norfolk News of 1845-46.

It would be interesting to know if this family record is unique.

Yours, &c.,
P.E. Colman, Colonel.
White Lodge, Harefield Place, Uxbridge, Middlesex, Jan. 31.
