In 1868, the parish of Camlough contained the following places:

"CAMLOUGH, a parish in the barony of Upper Crier, in the county of Armagh, province of Ulster, Ireland, 3 miles to the W. of Newry, which is a station on the Dublin and Belfast Junction railway. It lies in a fertile district, partly mountainous, on the Cam Lough, and belongs to Viscount Mandeville. Some of the inhabitants are employed in spinning and bleaching. A police force is stationed here. The living is a perpetual curacy in the diocese of Armagh and Clogher, value £146, in the gift of the Rector of Killery. The church was built in 1774, at the cost of Primate Robinson. The parish contains a remarkable cairn. The chief residence is Divernagh House."
