In 1868, the parish of Ballincuslane contained the following places:

"BALLINCUSLANE, a parish in the barony of Trughanacmy, in the county of Kerry, province of Munster, Ireland, 10 miles to the N.E. of Killarney. It is situated in a fertile and hilly district on the western side of the Blackwater. The living is a rectory, of the value of £382, in the diocese of Limerick, Ardfert, and Aghadoe, in the patronage of H. A. Herbert, Esq., and others."
