In 1868, the parish of Tullaghanbrogue contained the following places:

"TULLAGHANBROGUE, a parish in the baronies of Crannagh and Shillelogher, county Kilkenny, province of Leinster, Ireland, 4 miles S.W. of Kilkenny. The living is a rectory joined to Inchiologhan (which see). The principal residence is Desart Court, the seat of the Earl of Desart.
