The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilmurry contained the following places:

"KILMURRY, a parish in the barony of East Iffa and Offa, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 3 miles W.N.W. of Carrick-on-Suir, its post town. It is 4 miles long by 2 broad, and slopes towards the banks of the Suir river. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lismore, value with Kilsheelan, £184. The Roman Catholic chapel is united to those of Mockler and Grange. There is a day-school. Kilmurry House, Ballydine, Dovehill, and Ballycurkeen are the chief residences."
