The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Knigh contained the following places:

"KNIGH, a parish in the barony of Lower Ormond, county Tipperary, Ireland, 3 miles N.W. of Nenagh, its post town. The soil is mostly good. The river Ncnagh, which flows into Lough Derg at no great distance, traces part of the S.W. boundary. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Killaloe, value with Nenagh, £580, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is in ruins. Knigh House is among the chief residences."
