In 1868, the parish of Loughmoe East contained the following places:"LOUGHMOE EAST, (or see Callabeg), a parish in the barony of Eliogarty, county Tipperary, province of Munster, Ireland, 4 miles N. of Thurles. Templemore is its post town. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Cashel, value with Templetuohy, £606, in the patronage of the bishop.
