The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Kilrush contained the following places:

"KILRUSH, a parish in the barony of Decies-without-Drum, county Waterford, province of Munster, Ireland near Dungarvan, its post town. It is about 1½ mile in length and the same in breadth. The soil is mostly good. The road from Dungarvan to Cork passes through the parish. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Lismore, value £520, in the patronage of the bishop. The church is in ruins. Springmount is the principal seat."
