The National Gazetteer of Great Britain and Ireland - 1868

In 1868, the parish of Ballynaslaney contained the following places:

"BALLYNASLANEY, a parish in the baronies of Ballaghkeen and East Shelmaliere, in the county of Wexford, province of Leinster, Ireland, 6 miles to the N.W. of Wexford. It is situated in a fertile district on the banks of the river Slaney. The living is a perpetual curacy united with the rectory of Edermine, in the diocese of Ossory, Ferns, and Leighlin."
