Benjamin Howell  Yeoman: Will 6th March 1743

Benjamin Howell was the brother of Jeremiah Howell
He died at Tre’lech ar Bettws, Carmarthenshire in 1743                
Benjamin married  Lettice Howell and they lived at Penriwbaily in Tre’lech.    
                      
Item: I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Howell the sum of £10

Item: all the rest and residue of my goods and chattels to my loving wife
Lettice Howell and my son Edward Howell who I make joint executors.

In the name of God amen- I Lettice Howell of PENRIWBAILY in the parish of Trelech ar Bettws being weak in body but of sound and perfect memory thanks be to god do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following:

To my sister Sarah Jenkin the sum of £3         
To my nieces and nephews of Sarah Jenkin £12
I give to Anne Jones of Ysgol Goch , Convil Elvet 20s
I give to Thomas second son of Mr Howell Howell Vicar of Llanboidy the sum of 20s
I give unto Howell Howells and Theophilus Howells sons of Mr Humphrey Howell farmer the sum of 40s to share and share alike
I give to Elizabeth the wife of John - of Penrywroues? in the parish of Convil Elvet 20s
I give Lettice the wife of John William of Pencoed in the parish of Abernant 20s
I give Meynard Howells of Boren 20s
I give my cousin Elizabeth widow of the late William Eynon of Llanarthney 20s
I give Elizabeth daughter of Thomas Rees near Fly/ Plynnonddrain being a lame girl 20s
I give my niece Mary Howell living on Bronchiwl land £6
I give my nephew John Howell of Ffynnonren, Merthyr £4
I give John Griffith of Pantyllyn half a teal of barley
I give unto John Rees of Abernant half a teal of barley
I give unto my servant maid Mary Evan £6, one heifer, three pewter dishes, one chest wherein she usually keeps her clothes and my son the cupboard wherein we generally keep victuals, together with my third best brass pan.
I give unto my niece Mary Griffith daughter of the late …. Griffith of Laugharne 20s
I give unto my niece Amy Griffith £10 also my best chest, my second best brass? ….my three largest pewter dishes, four pewter plates my best rug and all the clothes that happen to be in my chest of drawers at the time of my decease.
I give unto my servant Abraham Jones 5s together with one welsh bible
All the rest of my residues and estates  I give and bequeath unto my nephew Robert Howell now living with me whom I nominate and appoint to be my executor.
