To comply with the ramifications of the current Data Protection Act as far as publicising the names of living people is concerned, or at least  with my interpretation of it, the indexing is in two parts.

In the first section, up to page 138 (approximately the 1930s), ALL  the names are extracted individually, with some christian names shown *** in case the people concerned are still alive.

In the second section, from page 139 onwards, NO christian names are extracted (at least with linked surnames), and the indexing style has changed to being PAGE based with surnames only shown.

Contents

  • The Early Days, 7-

  • Flannel and Tin, 54-
  • Build Build Build, 59

Names of people

Names are indexed under the name that appears to be the surname.
Patronymic versions or entries with given names only are put at the beginning of the main index.
Dates are those associated with the particular piece of text.
Places mentioned needn't be where someone actually lived.
