- WW1 Memorials in Mynyddbach Chapel, Treboeth
- Henry Jenkins of Treboeth, Swansea, sent this embroidered card to Annie Matthews on 8 July 1918, 'on my departure for France'. The image contains the insignia of the Royal Army Service Corps. Henry is one of the 79 men commemorated on the Roll of Honour at Caersalem Newydd Baptist Chapel, Treboeth.
- Thomas Henry Matthews of Treboeth, Swansea, was a miner before the war, but within a month of the start of hostilities he had joined the 3rd (King's Own) Hussars. He soon transferred to the South Wales Borderers: these photographs were taken at Sniggery Camp, near Little Crosby, Merseyside.
- Evan Davies, born in Treboeth, Swansea around 1897, was a collier before the war. He joined the Royal Navy: his cap says 'HMS Pembroke', which was the name of the Royal Navy Barracks in Chatham, Kent. ...... Evan is one of the 79 men commemorated on the Roll of Honour at Caersalem Newydd Baptist Chapel, Treboeth.
- Ivor James Phillips was born in Treboeth, Swansea, on 18 May 1895. He was a collier before the war but enlisted on 15 November 1915, joining the Royal Naval Division. (Men of the RND were in effect soldiers but were initially under Admiralty control and retained some of the customs of the Royal Navy). He fought on the Western Front, in the Howe and Anson Battalions. These photographs show Ivor in his sailor's garb and in a conventional 'army' uniform. Ivor is one of the 79 men commemorated on the Roll of Honour at Caersalem Newydd Baptist Chapel, Treboeth.
- Evan Davies, born in Treboeth, Swansea around 1897, was a collier before the war. He joined the Royal Navy, and while serving he sent these two postcards to his sweetheart (and future wife) Mary Annie Hughes.
