The living is a vicarage, in the archdeaconry and diocese of Hereford, rated in the king's books at £12. 1. 5., and in the patronage of R. Arkwright, Esq. The church is dedicated to St. Michael. There is a place of worship for Wesleyan Methodists. The river Lug winds through the parish. Here is a small endowed school. Walter Devereux, in 1379, obtained permission to hold a market on Tuesday, and a fair on the eve, day, and morrow of the Assumption of Our Lady, but they have been long discontinued.
